This image belongs to a series of female nudes shot during one of the last trips to Naples by Gloeden in the late 1890s (as shown by the presence of one of his models from Taormina, as an adult man). An inscription behind one image in this series reads: "Ms Guerrero, most pretty Spanish dancer, during her tournée in Italy (here, in Naples), portrayed in the garden of a small villa at Posillipo, owned by painter De Marco.
